CSA Program
(Community Supported Agriculture)*

Three Annual Sessions
January - April
May - August
September - December

Join any time! We will pro-rate your membership.

Receive a box of wholesome produce every Wednesday. Our vegetables are picked the day they are packed so they'll always be fresh and at their peak. We use Organic and BioDynamic methods. We are committed to the production of nutrient-dense food to better serve the needs of our community members.

Box contents are (of course) seasonal. We are particularly proud of our Winter offering -- the following is a list of the produce that we put in boxes during the January - April Session:

Beets
Broccoli
Brussels Sprouts
Cabbage
Carrots
Chard
Daikon radishes
Fennel
Garlic
Kale
Lettuce
Nappa Cabbage
Onions
Pak Choi
Potatoes
Radishes
Spinach
Sprouting Broccoli
Turnips
Winter Squash

  • CSA cost $324 for 18 weeks of produce.
  • A minimum payment of $175 is due ten weeks before the session commences.
  • The second payment of $149 is due two weeks before the first Wednesday box.
  • Please make your checks out to: John Richardson. No refunds.
  • Sign-up soon. There will be a maximum 50-box limit.
  • Regular pick-up for CSA boxes: Wednesday afternoon 3PM - dark (Fall/Winter hours) at the Farm.
  • There is also a Mendocino drop-off point.
* The purpose of a CSA -- Community Supported Agriculture -- is for the patrons to pay the farmer BEFORE the expenses of the season are incurred -- hence the ten week down payment. Farming is a risky business, in the sense that any crop may fail. Through diverse plantings, and with John's ever-growing knowledge of what thrives when here on the Redwood Coast, this shared risk becomes more of a delightful surprise than an unwelcome disappointment.
