What's new at Noyo Hill Farm
by Joanne Frazer

Hi everyone, well after taking a week off after the market season ended, we are ready to start picking again! Our broccoli is ready now, the cucumbers are still producing, and we have a new crop of spinach. We will have beets again in about 2 weeks but won't have head lettuces for about 4 weeks. Next week we will be getting 1,000 strawberry plants so we'll be busy getting them into the ground over the weekend but I can't wait 'til the spring to enjoy eating them again!

We talked it over and have decided to implement a box system during the winter months. They will cost $15 and will have an assortment of produce in them. Next week they will have the following: Broccoli, cukes, kale, chard, spinach, potatoes, onions, and scallions. If you would like to add cilantro or arugula then that would be an extra $1 each bunch. You can add any of the items at the following prices: broccoli $2.50/lb, cukes $3/lb, kale $2/bunch, chard $2/bunch, spinach $2/bunch, potatoes $2.50/lb, onions $1.50/lb, and scallions $1.50/bunch.

We would like to have your orders by Wednesday. We'll probably be picking everything either Thursday or Friday morning. We need your input as to when you want to pick your produce up. Do you prefer coming on Thursday from 1PM-5PM or Friday from 11AM-1PM? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

We will supply the boxes but ask you to return them either when you pick up your next box or when you're in the area. We are located at 403 N Harbor Drive in Fort Bragg. That street is the first one north of Noyo Bridge, between the Circle K gas station and Perko's restaurant. We are about 2 1/2 blocks from Hwy 101. Instead of following the road bearing right; you just keep going straight into our driveway. We are right behind Fort Bragg Travel. You can go to Mapquest or Yahoo Maps to find us. I didn't want to send an attachment 'cuz I know I don't like opening them when I haven't asked for them.

We want to thank all of you for your support and encouragement over the year. It has been great fun talking with you and getting to know you through the market season.

Would you be interested in finding out what's happening on the farm in these emails (turning this into a newsletter) or would you prefer to just have us tell you what's available and be very brief?

Please be sure to let us know if you do not want to continue to receive this email. I combined last year's list with this year's and don't know if you all are still interested or not.
